I think Mr Sarcastic is not quite as negative as he thinks he is, he talks like the ever sarcastiv critic, but when the album comes out he ends up loving everything, just like an Interferencer.

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but Fez is a complete throwaway track. Nothing there for me. Just a collection of drum loops and random sounds, mixed in with a couple of "Let me in the sounds!"....Once "Being Born" opens up, the song takes a drastic turn from where it just was. (Minus, of course, the "ooooooohs"....we've heard that several times already.) The guitar sounds pretty good throughout the verse and chorus, a constant buzzing sound over Bono's lyrics, but my biggest problem with this track is that it just never really seems to go anywhere. It doesn't even really have any build-up, just a constant steady line (and it's a line that's not very memorable or striving to be all that interesting.) Highlight: Possibly a piano solo by Bono if they do it live?

hmm....yep, that is true Fez is a throwaway...but I like it at parts, I actually imagine it in one of these scenarios:
1. played before the band walk on stage and once it ends they jump in with GOYB.
2. played after GOYB and turns to Being Born
Both of which are promising for me

About Being Born, yep, you're right about the steady line, I still love it, but it's somehow like Chinese Sleep Chant, tho it's a bit more melodic and catchy...it's as steady as that one tho. But I like sleep chant too, sooo

Not being funny but, even if you think NLOTH is better than the last two albums, that's not to say that austy has to think so too - same goes for everyone else. Hell, when I get the chance to listen to the album, chances are I'll agree (judging by what I've heard so far), but that doesn't mean we're necessarily right or wrong lol. It just strikes me as contradictory to say 'you won't be crucified' and yet follow it with 'don't you admit...?', as if it's madness to disagree with the stance you've taken.

Third : I think the general fell is that this is a major dissapointment, people are starting to see the album from a new view point , not from one that is just " oh my god it's U2"
