  3. My personal top 5 best U2 albums in line of order:

    - Achtung baby
    - Joshua Tree
    - NLOTH
    - POP
    - UF

    Not because it's the new album, but it's F-ing GREAT!
    The openingsong NLOTH is really kicking it off and then... just follow the flow.

    BTW i'm buying the official cd and record, but i couldn't resist this, there was a little Mcphisto in me... I know.. sorry to y'all.

  8. I am a Die-Hard fan since 1987. I love it. I have been waiting for an album like this since Achtung Baby - Zooropa era. Don't get be wrong, I loved ATYCLB and HTDAAB but they both have weak songs (particularly in the 2nd half of each album). By the way all the diehard fans I know love it as well. This album definitely has had better fan reviews than the last two as well (who will ever forget the awful u2tour.de of HTDAAB?)

    I was serious, by the way. He's been a longtime poster here and offers great insight. Not one to think that everything the band does is a #1 hit, and I appreciate that. I'd love to hear his thoughts.

    Yeah's been here a little less than me by a month or so, but he knows what he is talking about - much more than me. Not taken by the hype, or the so-called brilliance of everything. No artist or band can do everything perfectly and absolutely dead right (because it'd become boring and typical), and if you think they are, yore-a-lyin'.

    You learn from your mistakes - get up and give it another go. It's great to have someone here who is able to be a fan of the band, yet be able to criticize them (in a fair way) at the same time. I second to see his thoughts on the record as a whole. And if you ask him to honestly tell you what he thinks, that's what you'll get.
