I don't find bono's lyrics on nloth weak at all. not every lyric can be top-notch with lots of clever rhymes, symbols and metaphors. sometimes you just gotta tell straight ahead what's the matter and especially cedars is one of the better lyrics on nloth imo. it plays with lots of imagery, no matter how simple.

    Cedars is one of the best U2 lyrics of all time, in my opinion. So deep and clear at the same time, so amazing
  8. album just working for me , i actually am getting that feeling that are are past it , it FEELS like U2 are actually in disarry.That performace in Berlin, Bono was all over the place, actuallt it was quite shocking to see what they have become.It was trash and sorry to say , if thats all they can offer , well they are on the decline.GO BACK TO BASICS for god's sake , this album is going to be a DUD

    I disagree with 100% of that.

    Their performances at the Grammys, Brits and Echos were all amazing. And, may I remind you that this is only a promo tour. I must say, if the song stood the same on the tour, I would not be disappointed at all. However, we all know that it will change for the better.

    As for the album, I don't mean to offend you, but you are just afraid of change. This is a complete turn around from All That You Can't Leave Behind and How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, and it is their best work since POP imho. Not to say that those albums are weak, because they are definitely not. This album is genius. Have you heard Magnificent? Or Fez-Being Born? Or any of the tracks? Brilliant. Even the weakest track (imo) is beautiful, inventive and stuck in my head a lot of the time.

    Why bother posting on a U2 fansite if you can't find anything constructive to say? (And no, I'm not looking ofr sycophantic permanent praise. 2 of our most valued members frequently find fault with U2 but they also contribute a lot of other stuff, and positivity when warranted, to the site). All yours are the same.
