It would be unwise to drop Boots this early...it's still their current single, and the only new song to be officially released. Dropping it now would not only have the single fail to chart / stop the single from climbing up the charts (which may not matter to most of us, but is does matter to the band, McGuinness, and the record company), but would also show a lack of confidence in new material: maybe it wasn't that good these performances (and not so good compared to the rest of the album at all), but they chose it as their lead single, which means they play it and use it to promote the album. Take a look at Vertigo in 2004 for comparison, it was played at every promo show (safe for the iPod presentation, I believe) until another single took over the place as main song for promo gigs.
