    "It was all very hush-hush, except that these things always leak: U2, in New York March 2-6 for a week-long stand on "The Late Show with David Letterman," caps its stint in the Big Apple with a "secret" performance Friday, March 6, at Fordham University, which ABC will air on "Good Morning America."

    Don't go canceling your Friday plans, though: a Sound Check source reports that it's a Fordham-only show, and says it'll require a university ID (a Fordham ID in your name, that is) to get anywhere near campus that day.

    Professors have reportedly been told by the administration to cancel morning classes "for security reasons."

  8. U2 Schedules Secret Boston Performance Next Week

    Several radio stations, including CBS owned Mix 98.5, have announced that U2 will be performing at a top-secret Boston location next week for a select group of fans.

    The session will be on March 11, but the location has not been revealed, Mix 98.5 reports. A small group of fans will gain access to the event. Fans will be able to listen to the band perform as well as take part in a Q&A with the rock group.

    Mix 98.5 will be giving away tickets to the event on Tuesday.

    An official announcement about the concert is expected March 9, according to u2.com.
