1. sorry for asking, but thanks not my favorite song but afther a few listenings it sounds ok
  2. Originally posted by Stu:Damn the tracks on the DVD must have been recorded loud, i wanted to record Winter on my iriver to then have with the rest of the album, with even at the lowest volume, it still came out a tad distorted....and i don;t have a dvd audio rip program...grrrrr!!!

That clipping is annoying. I haven't yet heard a decent undistorted version.

  3. Its a good song. I think it should have been included, between Fez-BB and White As Snow. I like that it sounds a bit like VLV in the beginning. VLV, by the way, is a great fucking song about the end of the Bush administration and American imperialism. So "Winter" is a nice homage by U2 to Coldplay's masterpiece.

Am I the only person who loves both U2 and Coldplay?

  4. No, but a lot of people here don't like CP. I don't know if this should have been on the album, maybe. I think it's a great B-Side though
For some odd reason it reminds me of the Office theme song lol
  5. ...its there best song ever... Its a shame they didnt included on the album! It got me very emotionaly...! Man i was blown away, when i saw it on the linear movie, great imagerie of anton corbijn!!! Wow great!
  6. I wonder if Winter, along with Tripoli, Every Breaking Wave, NLOTH2, and whatever other songs they were left off this album may be included on the next one.
  7. Winter is a song, by the way, that certainly fits in with the theme of "pilgrimage" that Bono mentioned in one of the interviews.
  8. City of blinding lights + Viva la Vida= Winter.
  9. it's a good sond, i don't like the intro. listen to the last verse , you can almost hear bono crying.
  10. I like this one. It's moody, like the guitar and the chorus is so so..
  11. Thought it was okay after a first listen...but after a few listens I knew I was wrong
