However i sounds a little bit strange. Tags shouldnt be the cause of this. Only if there is some kind of file corruption![]()

I'll try foobar. It's hard to tell if it works though, because the skips are inconsistent.I have malwarebytes anti-malware, and that is an amazing anti-virus, so I don't think there is corruption. Thanks for the help

I'd try ripping them with Foobar.
Re-installing iTunes won't change the software on your iPod, only the software on your computer. Try restoring in iTunes or from FelixBruns site.
Now that you mention both downloaded and CD rips, that could mean either: a) the iPod needs to be restored, or b) the hard drive is dying and you need to return the iPod. As an aside, what type of iPod is it? Does it have a split-screen menu or just text links to everything?
If it's a classic (split-screen), a lot of people were (and are) having your problem and either restoring or returning it may or may not work. If it's a 5.5G or earlier (text-link menus), then chances are the hard drive is dying, and needs exchanging as soon as possible - which Apple will do in the first year of ownership, granted you have a receipt - and they can reproduce the problem.
Are there loud sounds sometimes coming from the iPod or crunching sounds?
