1. First off hello everyone, And what an amazing Website !!!!

I have been a member of U2.COM since it started in 2004 and have re-subscribe every year, and Every year with out fail the mess up my subscrition, or don't send me the free gift.

This year i was told to wait for the re launch to re-subscribe which i have done and then they tell me i can join again for $32 (Discounted price for re joining member)

And to my amazement they have screwed up yet again, First i can't log in because there is a space between my user name, then when i do get on and re-join i get charged $50(No sign of a $32 anywhere) What is going on?????

A friend has had the same problems as me every year, he even placed an order for over £200 for art prints which he never got and had a real problem getting and help to get the prints or a refund.

Is it just me and my friend or has anyone else had problems with this shambles of an Offical website.

    Cheers

    Jay
  2. Hate to be the dissenting voice but u2.com has always done what it says on the tin for us. My wife and I are both members and we both got tickets last tour and everything is always on time and working fine. Compared with 2 cds in 20 years, it is light years ahead of Propaganda; the gifts have been super and th sore is good value ($8 for some t-shirts!).

My only gripe is the 'Big Brother'/ religious zeal with which Zootopia is run, but I don't take it so seriously as to let it upset me.

Free CD a year and tickets for the tour and that's me happy.

That side has always gone well for me too, but this relaunch is a mess. No structure at all and members not able to use the service properly. Ridiculous.

Another stupid question for you or anyone else with a subscription. How many tickets do you get access to with the presale in the past? It would seem foolish for me to subscribe if i could only get one ticket.

From memory I am pretty sure it was 2 tickets for 1 show.

Both my girlfriend and I have memberships and last time out we were able to go pre-sale for 2 different shows.

Last time 8 tickets max (or 6) for just one show. Only the first in a row too, so if there are three Dublin shows you can only access the pre-sale for Dublin show one.

interesting....very anxious to see how they do it this time around.

fortunately (or unfortunately?) they'll only play one show in my city, so I don't really have to worry about that. Damn, I miss LA.

You sure about that number? I am pretty sure that it was 2 tickets for 2 different shows per subscription - during the Vertigo tour?

  9. Maybe in the US, here in Europe it was more, definitely. Not sure if it was 8 or 6, but definitely more than 2.
  10. Well it was arenas in the states so 2 was the limit, Im sure stadiums will allow for more.

  11. It might be possible. But it was 2 tickets for 2 shows per Propaganda membership and the same with U2.com memberships on the last tour.

So while it might be possible, one should not count their chickens before their eggs have hatched.

  12. isn't that what 90% of the posts in this topic have been?
