Can I ask what time of day you got your tickets last tour? Was it as the opening act was playing, or hours in advance? From a scalper on the street?

It was just before the show started. There were many scalpers trying to sell their tickets even on the subway stations.
  3. My question is: are there still any venues that can possibly be added to the tour?

That's great. I'll do the same if they play here in my city. No date yet, but I'm thinking that's in 2010.

  5. i reckon the 2nd leg (if true) will have others cities that have been missed, like on other previous tours, don''t believe the first leg will though, just extra dates at the same venues

What do you think. Should I paid to get pre-sale accsess code and if I do it when I will receive that pre-sale accsess code? I planing Zagreb gig...

From my reading, it does not appear that 'free' subscribers will be able to participate in the pre-sale. The question is, how difficult it will be to get tickets when they go on sale to the general public. Given the usage of 'bots' that provide the supply for scalping sites, I wonder what chance the average fan has of getting a few decent seats together without having to delve into the resale market. I am really not keen - on the basis of principle - to pay $50 just to get the opportunity to buy tickets although I would do the subscription in a second if it meant avoiding the scalpers. Also, I'm wondering whether secondary dates will be announced for this first leg. I'm closest to Vancouver, Canada and that would be the best fit. They played two arena shows there during Vertigo and only one during Elevation, so it seems unlikely they would add a second stadium show. Is anyone else facing a similar dilemma? Any advice?

Personal opinion here: I'd still pay the $50 for the membership, even if it only gives you a one-day advance on the tickets. There will still be tickets available, and the presale code is good for 2009 only. Hypothetically, you could get another presale code for any 2010 shows....that's completely unconfirmed, but there's a chance.

Perhaps I'll see you at the Vancouver show!
  9. everyone should keep in mind that the "presales" are only for a small percentage of the total tickets available for the show. Meaning...there are not an unlimited number of presales avail just because you have a "code" or a subscription, they will still sell out.

In most cases the band only gets 10% of the tickets to offer to their fans. So, for these stadiums (that hold 70-100k people) we're talking about 7,000-10,000 total tickets available for the presale for any particular show. Once that 10% is gone, they are gone, and then everyone must wait until the public on sale

How many paid U2.com subscribers are there? Who knows...

Hopefully not that many in the cities where Im trying to go to shows!

I'm in the same situation is you, I wanted to make sure that they were going to be coming close to me before dropping the 50 on a subscription. When i saw the date in Toronto i spent it. Hopefully the boots group will still meet my ticket needs in TO.

Did you get your email yet, i see my code on the u2.com page but have yet to receive the accompanying email
