I had this under a different topic title before asking how to do it and I thought that it was about time that I re-posted using the correct title.
A bit of background: Having done dance music for 15 years, 7 years ago I bought an emu sampler and decided which U2 song I could do my own remix of. All I want is you was the choice I made, I only sampled 1 channel of Bono's vocals on the intro which I used as a base to start with which I then looped. I actually forgot that I'd done this version until recently and when I played it I was pleasantly surprised on how well it turned out as I'd only spent less than one day working on it in the first place. This version was never finished because I'd wanted to add a bass line and some other textures but at the time I remember wanting it to be fairly sparse in the arrangement (as my own material had been fairly complex). On listening to it recently it made me think that is what I like about it now and I wish to share this now with you.
