1. Hey all,

I doubt there are a whole lot of Lady Gaga fans on here, but I figured I'd throw this up there anyway. Besides, you may be able to forward the links to friends & family who like her.

I have an old RARE demo (I'm talking, maybe 100 copies or so total) of hers b/c I knew her personally in high school, from before she was signed, and even BEFORE she was even called Lady Gaga. This is their equivalent of U2-3 (or Hasta La Vista, Baby! in terms of rarity as well).

I archived and posted it online last night b/c I found that her die-hards had heard of it and wanted it, but there was NOT A SINGLE COPY to be found on the Internet. March 9th, 0 copies despite EXHAUSTIVE Google, Blogspot & Forum searching. March 10th (now), well over 1,000 downloads according to my Rapidshare account (plus all the other uncredited re-uploads) + music blog & forum appearances.

PS: In case you see this on other sites on the net, it was in fact ME, Eddie Q, u2met86, who posted / leaked it from his physical copy.

***NOTE: When I ripped this into iTunes, GraceNote automatically downloaded the correct track listing information, except for one error that I did not catch until now. It says the year is 2005, when the printing on the CD says 2006 (I bought it from her on March 9, 2006, after her gig at The Bitter End in New York City). I believe it MAY HAVE BEEN released earlier in 2005 as the "Words EP" but the artwork might have been updated for a 2006 printing as the "Red And Blue EP." Not 100% sure on that.
  2. Hahaha... silence and crickets... as expected

So WHY did I post this HERE, if nobody cares?

    I HAD to.

Because I owned a rare physical copy of something that thousands of die-hard fans around the world were looking for but could not find.

THE ONLY REASON I was able to deliver it to them and "get it out there forever" was because of U2start.

U2start taught me HOW to use Rapidshare, HOW to archive albums for online storage, the importance of tracking format lineage, the importance of making BOTH MP3 AND lossless available, the importance of ripping gapless, and the rules of forum etiquette.

It also taught me that no matter how ridiculous or unimportant an artist seems, they probably have a rabid die-hard fan base on Internet forums looking to devour every single recording they could possibly get their hands on.

And so far, over 1300 people have downloaded it directly from me, not including the other re-uploaders.

So I'm proud of today, even if no other U2 fans care (and obviously rightfully so)!!!

PS: I emailed the download links to Perez Hilton and he posted them on his Twitter, which is f---ing awesome.
  3. Lady who?
    You listen to girly music

  4. Lady Gaga. (Australia #1 singles "Just Dance" & "Poker Face," top ten debut album "The Fame")

    Music is music, mate.

If you don't like something, that's perfectly fine. But if you're going to toss a dismissive label on something, then that's your own problem, not the artist's or the fans'... I imagine you don't like hearing other people call U2 "girly music" (and A LOT of people outside of our ideal u2start bubble think it is)

I dig Lady Gaga's music just the same way I dig Madonna's, Michael Jackson's, and some hits from the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Britney Spears.

They're all in my iTunes Library along with U2, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Dave Matthews Band, Oasis, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious BIG, and Jay-Z.

I went to high school with her in New York City.

My friends and I supported her as she tried to make it in the music business and become famous, which she eventually succeeded at.

I shared a rare unreleased demo to thousands of her Internet fans today which made a LOT of fans very happy, all thanks to skills I've learned from U2start.

  5. I'll grab a copy Eddie, thanks very much

Nurse at work will do their nut.....

    Hey Dan!

    Thanks for the greetings.

I think you might actually like some of these tunes better than the stuff she has currently on the radio, especially "No Floods" and "Wish You Were Here."

They're more melodic, more popular-rock, NO dance and NO autotune (T-Pain / Cher effect) at all.
  7. Hm.
  8. I absolutely don't like Lady Gaga, but I think it's pretty cool that you have such a rare object
And it's brave you dare post it here Hahaha

And you have point: music is music
  9. Everyone's music is welcome! I'll pass the url to someone I know. She will like it

    Thanks!

  11. Yep
Theirs only one genre out there that I wouldn't call 'music' and that is the rappiediecrap (Hiphop )
