Let me first say that i really really commend the people who run this sit. I am more of a blogee than a blogger. I read peoples post but have never added one. Until now. Thanks to the guys & gals who run this show, you are truely make a lot of people happy.
first of all let me give you a wee synopsis of me ...I'm a hge fan (aren't we all?!) In fact the football stadium they are playing in Dublin this year (croke Park) I have seen them 7 times there so far (they played at the special Olympics opening ceromony - that counts as a U2 gig doesn't it?!!)
What I am saying is that I love them - seen them 16 times in various times around the world and am gonna see them 3 more times in Croke Park this Summer
The new album to me is a strange one. I got it from the net a week before it came out and after a couple of days I was so so not impressed and yet it's aal I listen to since then (Please note that I did buy the "Book version" of the album on Friday that it was released over here)
What I'm saying is that whilst I downloaded the album I always knew I would actually buy it when it came out
No LIne on the Horizon - Great song and a grower (but the guitar is ripped from Ultra Violet (Light My Ways) - Listen to the two tracks on a good pair of headphones and you see what I mean!
Magnificent - Another grower and another live potential moment (but ya know what I can hear him singing the word "Jerulalem" from the October album - maybe it's jus me
Moment of Surrender - I think one of their finest moments in a long time and would have loved to see this on the Letterman run but I guess the length & complexity of the song make us have to wait until the live shows - this song could and should be amazing live - This song is a gem
Unknown caller - No thanks - all I hear is those beach tapes which I am sorry I ever heard
I'll go crazy,,,,...... - Bring it on Bono at the live shows - I was a bit worried about Bono''s voice and he really did get away with it for this song on the Letterman performance - (and that was the first public one?!) This will be a huge live favourite highlight and the best title since "I still haven't...." - I think I'm outta space on my post limits! - Basically the rest of the album I can't really listen to
