  1. This is really hard, but I think I'll give it a go. (It'll probably be different next week lol)

    1.Unknown Caller-
    2.Breathe
    3.Cedars of Lebanon-WOW, is all I can say
    4. No Line on the Horizon-what a great opener, I love Bono's voice on it
    5.Moment of Surrender-I love this song, it's so beautiful, and it only took one take!
    6.White as Snow- Took a while to catch on, but now I love it (French Horns are nice to )
    7.FEZ-Being Born-U2 needs to do more songs like this
    8.I'll Go Crazy if I have to type out this whole title-Nice catchy pop song, but I don't want a whole album of it
    9.Stand Up Comedy- I love this! It's an awesome Zep-like song, and Led Zep are gods, so combining them with U2 is always good
    10.Magnificent-the intro is the best part, but it's not a bad song in the least
    11.Get On Your Boots-This is a great song, and I think it shows how wonderful this album is when I think it's the worst one on there lol

    Final Verdict:This album is amazing

  3. What can be said that hasn't been said already lol?They're just so good! I was in a bookstore yesterday, and they were playing COL, and I was so happy, and my dad said "How can you be happy? It's so creepy sounding" lol

  6. I just did this ranking thing for ATYCLB on another post, so I figured I'd do it for the new album, as well. Here goes:

    1. Unknown Caller (my favorite from the first time I heard it)
    2. Crazy Tonight (didn't think much of it at first, but it's really grown on me)
    3. Breathe (another song that's really grown on me -- not nearly as simple as it sounds on first listen)
    4. Moment of Surrender (great song, great lyric, but I still think it's a bit too long)
    5. No Line on the Horizon (wow, a song this good is only #5?)
    6. Fez-Being Born (same comment as #5)
    7. Magnificent (it's good, but I don't seem to like it as much as everyone else does)
    8. Cedars of Lebanon (a pretty simple song, but one that I never skip. I really enjoy Bono's singing in it and the overall sound -- reminds me a little of Lou Reed)
    9. Get on Your Boots (has actually grown on me a bit -- I didn't like it much when it was first released as a single -- it fits better within the context of the album)
    10. Stand Up Comedy (a likable enough tune, but it lacks something IMO. It almost sounds forced in some way)
    11. White as Snow (it tends to make me snooze. The bridge is nice but the rest of the song kind of bores me)

    The overall quality of this CD is really striking. The only thing that keeps it from making my top two favorite U2 albums is that other than Unknown Caller, I don't think of any of these songs as being jaw-droppingly amazing. Just a lot of really good solid songs, but nothing that stands up to the best of ATYCLB or Achtung Baby for me. Again, that's just one person's opinion, so take it for what it's worth...

    I think White As Snow is okay. It reminds me of The Hands That Built America in the sense that it sounds more like a song for a soundtrack. I like The Hands That Built America but I don't really need or want it on a U2 album. I feel the same way about White As Snow. I think Winter would have been much better in its place.

    I understand that, but I love Hands that Built America, I like that soundtrack sound I'm a tense person, so hearing relaxing, more quiet songs are nice I wish they had included Winter, I'm with Eno on this, a little more work, and it could be even better
