    The 77s are still around. Their last CD "Fun with Sound" is awesome.

    There once was a small discord between the 77s fans and U2. In 1987 both bands shared the Island label, but all Island's marketing support got to the Joshua Tree, so the 77s record flopped, and the 77s became an underground legend instead of a mainstream superhype. 77s leader Mike Roe is over it by now. I think U2 and the 77s are the two greatest bands in the world. Read the whole story here:
