Question regarding camcorders etc.

are camcorders allowed at the gigs?? or do you have to be discreet??

has anyone had any bad experiences related to camcorders and other recording devices??

You have to be discret, of course. Usually they won't take you cam/recording devide away (even though they are allowed in most of the venues), but they will make you shut it out and eventually you'll have to remove everything you recorded (I was recording a Red Hot concert and a security guy made me delete everything I had recorded to the moment)... It depends on the venue, but usually you'll have to be discret

Same with DSLR cameras..I once read cameras with a maximum of 3x optical zoom are allowed, anything bigger isn't. So I'm afraid I can't take my camera with me, would love to shoot some wide-angle shots on day 1 though.

I hope that rule will be adjusted soon. It is hard to find a compact camera with less than 3x optical zoom these days
