    What does that mean?

I find that really scary, as you can't imagine what that would feel like, cause can you imagine not thinking?

It would be like falling asleep (and not dreaming either) except you never wake up.

It's a hard thing to accept, it really is. I think the reason we have religion is because humans are the only species that know they are going to die, so they come up with these things that happen when you die to make it seem less scary and more understandable, and that's fine, except for that it often spews hate

Exactly. It is scary... I mean, who's to say that there isn't something past heaven? I really hope so. Life has to have a greater purpose than to live for 80 years or so and just end.

Just my opinion, and it's too late to get past this for me lol

Meanwhile, Jesus is staring up at dad like he's a maniac.

Do you know anything about Hinduism?

Some of their beliefs are really far-fetched.

But I think with Jesus, he was the sacrificial lamb and by his death, people would be free from sin.

At least that's how I've heard it works.

It's very crazy, but the thing is, all religions are insane, but since you were raised Christian (And me too, for that matter) you never really think of it as far-fetched, because it's what you're used too.
I think Jesus was a great philosopher, but nothing more

    *cough*Scientology*cough*

lmao, that is the only "religion" that I will ever laugh at.

Yeah, life would be pathetically futile if you ceased to exist after a few decades.

Why would anyone bother being good? If a murderer is going to end up in the same place as some good person.

It's incredibly scary, but I realized a while back that we're here to reproduce, and set it all up for the next generation, and then we die. At least that's how I think it works Again I could be wrong, actually, I HOPE I'm wrong
  8. Also, the other problem with God not existing (and only the physical world around us existing).

Is determinism, which basically means that no one has any control over their actions, and it is all predetermined.

Because, let's face it, there really isn't a good or evil. It's all a matter of perspective, again, it's depressing to think about, but that really is just how it goes

Exactly. There is a similar religion (if it still exists) where there is no Hell. Just a Heaven. I can't remember it, I think it might be named after a person though. My goodness I'm tired

But I think you do have control. You have control over your life but once your dead, that's that

  12. Oh, Scientology is fucking insane, but what I'm saying is, they all are that crazy, we're just so used to them that we don't really notice it anymore
