I know... little green men coming in a spaceship is SciFi sh*t, not religion

  2. Xenu put us all here and had a giant circle of volcanoes and exploded us all out of them with H-Bombs

  3. Actually no, because if there is no 'soul', your consciousness (which determines what you think and do) is determined by all the electrical signals going around your brain.

And in turn these electrical signals are determined by the interactions of the billions of atoms and molecules that make up your brain.

Now we know from science that all these particles follow a set of rules, so that if you knew the initial state of the system, you could calculate what would happen anytime in the future.

And so it would turn out that all your thoughts (and actions) were all predetermined before you were born, when your brain was developing.

Scientology is insane, I mean the guy who founded it was a sci fi author and he even admitted that all the books he wrote (which they use as bibles) were fictitious.

  5. If that's what they believe, than that's what they believe. I'm not gonna be the one to tell them that they're wrong. I'm not saying that I necessarily am with it, but it's "religion".

But I never said anything about no souls, just no God. I think you're mixing up a humans' personality with higher powers that be

So you believe in souls? Which are non-physical things?

  9. Exactly

    *falls asleep*:P G' night guys

  10. I believe in personalities and humans being able to make their own decisions and comprehend things. When I say I believe in the physical world, I mean I don't believe in Heaven, Hell, et cetera. I think what's interesting about humans is our ability to understand our own mortality, we're more advanced then other organisms on this Earth
