1. Hi folks,

Me and the Mrs are chuffed to bits that we have been able to get some tickets for the Sheffield gig. Don Valley Stadium has surely got to be one of the smallest venues on the tour, and I am hoping this will make for a better night.

You have to imagine that if they are giong to be using the same stage set up as they would use in Wembley, then surely the fans at Don Valley are in for a great night! I doubt this is going to be the case (though I hope so!!!!)

Getting older now( ! ! ), so we have plumbed for seats rather than general admission. However, looking at the stadiunm plan, the seats look like they are pretty close to the stage (despit them only being £30).

Can't wait. Anyone else out there going to Sheffield.... or indeed has been to a gig at Don Valley before and would like to tell us what the venue is generally like for open air concerts?

    Ta

    Kev

  2. Lucky bastard Small venues are way cooler than big ones in my opinion !

    Welcome to the community
  3. Cheers Risto,

Last saw them at Millenium Stadium and was right at teh barrier in the pit at the front!! That will take some beating I think.....!
  4. Welccome to the site . I was seriously considering Don Valley instead of Wembley, thinking that the small stadium would be a better show, but eventually i got tickets for Wembley 14th because it was a weekend and hey, its Wembley. I was also GA so it makes no difference what the seating is like. I think you Sheffield lot will be in for a good gig, well at least different compared to the bigger stadiums. Have a great time
  5. Welcome aboard!
    Enjoy the show buddy!!
  6. Thanks guys.

It actually worked out better for us to go on a Thursday..... difficult to get a babysitter on the Saturday as everyones on holiday!
  7. Is it so small? I am going too - can't wait!
  8. Like it already, thanks! :-)
