1. solving reselling of tickets is easy.
.....print the purchasers name on the ticket, show id at the door. Match ticket against ID, makes enterence into the facility a little slower... but solves the problem or resellers.

..the only problem with be the cash / debit buyers slowing down the Point of Sale purchasing.

Exactly. They should do that. Period.

EDIT. What about the people who buys tickets for friends or familiars? And what about the trades? Humm it's so tough...

Without 'resellers' i don't know if there would be a need to trade. However, for family and familars assumption would be that the ticket buyer will be there as well..... for trading, kind of the same thing, you just need to enter into the venue with the name of the purchaser..

.and honestly how often does 'trading' happen..think of all the concerts / shows for all the differnt type of venues your looking at hundreds of millions of tickets per year, across continents.....ok, I grant you that for a large band like U2, it might create a minor trading situation, but overall.......
  4. got my tickets this morning for giant stadium in jersey...first ever u2 concert, im freakin out and its still 6 months away.
  5. Got 2 $30 tix for Chicago this morning.
Can't BELIEVE what the total came out to

Glad to be going tho, but someone closer to the stage will have to let me know it is in fact U2 I'll be seeing since it looks like I'll be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the back lol

Yeah, amazing what fees have become these days. I paid over $25 in service fees alone per Coldplay ticket.

Exactly, I bought 15 tix in total for friends & family. What if every single person had to buy his/her own tickets just to match with your ID? It wouldn't work, even if it stops resellers.
