I think not. I heard that Bono begins to sing about 00:20, so they might have cut the intro aswell...
  2. they're definitely playing the full album version on the radio here.....have been since the album came out.

  3. Yep, all in all about 1 minute is cut from the album edit. The song comes in shortly before the nintendo sound and Bono starts his ... ehm... idiotic "Magnificent" at 0:20. Edge solo is cut to about 12 seconds (which makes the song better as the rest was just a repitition anyway) and the song ends with 2 more "Magnificents", so, one was cut there.

Hhahaha the Nintendo sound made me laugh hard So, you make it sound a bit better than the other reviews... I guess I'll have to wait until the single comes in anyway
  5. I think they need a really good videoclip to make this a hit
Still a bit too repetive and too simple (?) to be a hit methinks

I hope that the videoclip will NOT be the boring thing we saw on Linear...

  7. It has the best preconditions to become a hit. Easy listening straight in the ear: no rough edges, repetitive, cheesy lyrics.

    lol
True, but I can't see this as the next Beautiful Day, Vertigo or WITS (as in: big hits). It just doesn't sound like a hit to me

Maybe because ANY song on NLOTH was meant to be a big hit like Vertigo or Beautiful Day. It's a complete recording, full of complete songs with different meanings and feelings. I think Magnificient will be a hit because it's a great song, with catchy chorus and guitar phrases, but not as big (~worldwide) as Vertigo.
  10. Magnificent as a song is far better than WITS and Vertigo together.

Where was WITS a big hit?
