  1. What does WITS stand for???

    Oh, now I figured it out, Window In The Skies. I actually love that song, but I think Magnificent is better.


  2. In Holland it went straight to number one.

    On u2.com the performance from Boston on video... they edited it (the audio) slightly, and I think it's too slow, but overall a nice performance.
  3. Perhaps the most over rated U2 song in a long long while. I enjoy the intro but that will be edited. The masses will love it and it should chart well but I just dont like the song.

    I love the album version, but it's too slow live.... and it could be overrated, yes. But Beautiful Day and Vertigo are/were also overrated


  5. I prefer it live. The live version tones down that shockingly bad 'wah wah wah' sound after every 'Magnificent' by Bono. Edge should also have played one more round of the main riff before Bono comes in with his opening rant of guess what. . . . . 'Magnificent'. Urgh

    what you dislike there is what I like... the 'wah wah' is great, but one more round of the main riff should have been better indeed. Love the drumming.

  9. I have to go with Gerard here, those wah wah's are truly horrible
    And the riff is not much either
    I like the song, yes, but I also think it gets highly overrated
    And WITS was awesome AND way more a real single than Magnificent if you ask me, less repitive, better riff.

    WITS was cheesy..even more than Magnificent. And the 'Beatles'-level was way too present imo.
  11. WITS was a great single. Magnificent is a great album track.... that riff, the effects, Bono, the drumming AND Adam... awesome song. Play it a little faster live and it will rock.


  12. Well, I listen to a lot of Beatles-stuff and I never got where the comparison with The Beatles comes from If you ask me it doesn't sound Beatles-ish at all
    But oh well...that's another topic
