    You'll get to see her later in the week, so don't worry about that And the fact that the teacher lost the work is ridiculous... my Portuguese teacher often loses my work, but he believes that I did it, which is good. It also comes in handy when I forget to do homework:
    Him: "Nicholas, you didn't pass in your homework?"
    Me: "Yes, I did, I left it on the desk that you told us to leave it on."
    H: "I can't find it here" *shuffles papers on desk*
    M: "Well, I'm sure it will turn up."
    H: "I'm sure that it will too, you always do your homework. Don't worry about it"
    M: "Okay"

    There's not much that you can do except make it up. Or, you can sit down and FAIL

    Friend: "Is Grace there?"
    Me: "Hello, how are you?"
    F: "Is Grace there?"
    M: "No, she is out with her mother."
    F: "Can I talk to Grace?"
    M: "No... she is out with her mother."
    F: "When will she be back?"
    M: "Maybe in about 20 minutes."
    F: "Is this her mother?"
    M: "Who is she with?"
    F: "Her mother."
    M: "And does this sound like her mother?"
    F: "Yeah."
    M: "A female with a voice in the key of G#?"
    F: "Yeah."
    M: "It's her brother."
    F: "Oh!"
    M: "Yes."
    F: "Tell Grace that I called."
    M: "Well if I'm going to do that, I'll need to know who is calling."
    F: "Okay, bye." *hangs up*
