1. Boy - Shadows And Tall Trees or A Day Without Me
October - Stranger in Strange Land
    War - Drowning Man
Unforgettable Fire - Elvis Presley and America and Promenade
    Joshua Tree - None
Rattle And Hum - Helter Skelter
    Achtung Baby - None
    Pop - Miami
    Zooropa - The Wanderer
ATYCLB - Wild Honey or Grace
    HTDAAB - None
    NLOTH - White as Snow

  2. Boy: I have no idea, they're are quite a few bad ones

    October: ditto

    War: ditto

Unforgettable Fire: Elvis Presley and America is the worst song, (4th of July doesn't count as it's an instrumental, this thread is about songs)

Joshua Tree: tough choice, I would say Mothers of the Disappeared, though i don't get One
Tree Hill or Red Hill Mining Town, so either of them could take the spot.

Rattle and Hum: ( I guess we're talking about whats on the album not the film and counting new U2 songs, not covers, live performances etc.)
Then it's either Love Rescue Me or When Love Comes To Town.

Achtung Baby: There are no bad songs on AB.
The weakest song on the album is probably Trying to Throw Your Arms Around the World, but even that is pretty good and fantastic live.

Zooropa: Hmm, talking about album versions of songs, it would be one of the long titled songs ie. DGPFYCC or SDABTO

Original Soundtracks No.1: same as the first three, too hard to choose the worst.

Pop: The easiest choice so far; Miami is a certified stinker (though slightly better live)
Whoever thinks Velvet Dress is worse, seriously needs to reconsider.

ATYCLB: I hate the album version of Elevation (though Grace isn't great either).

    HTDAAB: Crumbs is crummy

NLOTH: Get on Your Boots stands out, with Stand Up Comedy following behind, both are flawed songs.

  3. It's true though, if we included instrumentals, it would be much easier to choose the worst songs, as by nature they are handicapped against songs with vocals and lyrics.

And by definition an instrumental isn't a 'song'.

    Well....I agree half
4th Of July is just a weak tune, true
But some instrumentals are cool, tough I can't recall any more instrumentals on U2 albums, except for on Passengers

I wouldn't even go so far as to call 4th of July a tune , but I think it wasn't really intended to be taken seriously, just to create some space between Promenade and Bad on the album.

Hahahaha, okay, it's not a tune lol
Well...I guess it was indeed just a fill-up Showing U2 at work in the studio, one take, that's all U2 improvising. Nice, but not much
