1. I like the live tracks, alright, but where's the time when they released a single with the song (edited or not) and two more songs, one live and one brand new? Hum

yeah or a single mix that is kinda different from the album song.
  3. I don't like mixes...

    - Stay (original song)
    - I've Got You Under My Skin (new song - moreover it's a duet)
    - Slow Dancing (new song - a nice acoustic one)
    - Bullet The Blue Sky (old live song)
    - Love Is Blindness (new live song)

    The Perfect Single.
  4. Wow, a live version of the never ever before released "Punk rock made on Venus" track, a remix of the No. 1 super duper smash hit from NLOTH and even an amputated Promo-live version of an album track.
The only way to top this would be if they even put a download link for the Magnificent video on the disc (Limited special edition of course).

    7" UK only btw.

    Epic fail, indeed.
They're going to fuck up the good opportunity for promoting the album that Magnificent is...
  6. Jesus christ they are so far off delivering some good b-sides. How could this possibly be with the abundance of songs that never made the album?

B-sides don't bother me much but it would be nice to buy a single for whats on it rather than buying it just because it will look good on the shelf next to the rest.
  7. I just heard the single mix and shorterning it hasen't made it any less of a great track
  8. U2place.com says U2tour.de says there might be *four* tracks on one of the Magnificient CDs:

    http://www.u2place.com/newsdett.asp?idN=3488

The fourth track is unknown though, if it'll be there at all.

B-sides have been a terrible disaster since POP, with a few exceptions.

It'd be nice to have something like the epic singles of the AB era - not to mentions the JT B-sides.

It's a common tendency, though - the new Oasis singles also tend to be significantly poorer than the old ones.

It's the age I guess. People get old, have kids, want to spend more time with the family etc. Yet, U2 claim to have written 60 new songs, and Oasis claimed to have recorded about 50 when DBTT came out. They're probably not too good (although songs like Mercy, I wanna live in a dream, Stop the clocks etc. are pretty damn good).

If U2 will stop touring between Nov 09 and the Summer of 2010, with Spiderman on the go etc., I think it is likely that we'll have more than B-sides. (Wishful thinking!)

  9. Don't tell me you liked Holy Joe

Are You Gonna Wait Forever?, Always, Big Girls Are Best and the live version of Kite are pretty good imo...

    Holy Joe is good.

Are You Gonna Wait Forever is the best since AB certainly.

Do U2 decide the B-sides or the record company? They do seem a bit shit recently. But JuJuman is right, other bands don't bother either. Is it because of mp3 do we think?
