1. Sex On Fire is a very cool song. I was hooked to it.
Defintely better than Get On The Boots.
I can recognise some influence from U2 in the song... but can tell.

    The guitar sounds very familar..
  2. When I looked at this topic's title I sasid... WTF?? Hahhaa

It's a great song, I agree with you
  3. Great single, poor song. Decent live
  4. Yeah, I agree with you to some extent. Maybe not so much the actual guitar sound but definately the sound the accompanies the guitar after the first and second chorus.

This sort of "ambient" sound is almost exactly the same as Edge is using live sometimes. The sound I am thinking about is used a lot during the Joshua Tree and Lovetown shows, for example during The Unforgetable Fire, Exit, Running to Stand Still.

When I first heard Sex on Fire by the Kings of Leon my first thought, besides thinking it was a really good song, was that they had borrowed the Edges live sound for a couple of seconds.

    Cheers!
  5. Interesting band. I love Only By The Night, hope to get their older albums some time.
  6. Double post

  7. Their 3 previous albums are light years better than only by the night

  8. i know we have debated this before, but I think I'm finally gonna have to agree with you on this one

  9. Certainly 2 of them. They are a bit more 'raw', so if you like the smoother feel of the recent disc then they may not be to taste.

But certainly worth a listen and cheap at most outlets now.
  10. Great catchy song! Vocals are amazing. This is the song that actually got me into them.
