1. "Knocked Up" is a prime example that Matthew Followill was taking notes from The Edge during their opening stint on the Vertigo tour. There are a few Edge-like tones on "Because of the Times" album.

As for which Kings of Leon album is best? All of them are pretty great. Aha Shake Heartbreak" certainly didn't fit the sophmore slump of many other bands. It's great all the way through.

  2. I saw KOL in LA in October... the night they shot the "Use Somebody" video.

Great show. Great band. Great time. If you get a chance to go see them - GO!
  3. Great topic title

  4. Hahahahaha, okay okay

Still haven't checked them out, will do soon tough, with all the good stories I've heard from here
  5. Yes, good song and just the sort of song to release as a single if you want to sell shed loads of albums. U2 please note.

Then they go and repeat the trick with Use Somebody (which I think is even better)

But then they release Revelry and no-one buys it

    Revelry isn't that great
  7. It's an ok song, but it gets played all the bloody time wherever I go lol - I think Use Somebody or whatever the song's called is much better, but other than that I really don't know KoL that well. I only know Red Morning Light 'cause it was on the FIFA 2004 playlist

  8. yeah, i just like how they turned it into a conversation, a very smart remix

    Get Knocked Up. Excellent.
  10. It's an decent song, nice riff, don't like his brand of southern singing much though.
Riffs off a lot of 80s U2 though, with the vocalizations and atmospherics.

They're a good 'new' band, their first couple of albums were forgettable so they're not exceptional new talent, unlike say the Killers.

Aothough the new album is a dip in form you are mighty wrong.
