Are You Gonna Wait Forever is the best since AB certainly.

Do U2 decide the B-sides or the record company? They do seem a bit shit recently. But JuJuman is right, other bands don't bother either. Is it because of mp3 do we think?

I liked (not loved) some of the HTDAAB b-sides like Smile, Fast Cars, Are You Gonna Wait Forever (I think there's others I can't remember too).

Are You Gonna Wait Forever had some fantastic guitar and a soaring chorus, but the verses and lyrics could use some work.

But they are still way off the AB/JT B-side renaissance.

Perhaps we'll see a resurgence with NLOTH considering they have a lot of material leftover from the sessions and the fact that NLOTH2 was a remix that was arguably better than the original track.

Are You Gonna Wait Forever?, Always, Big Girls Are Best and the live version of Kite are pretty good imo...

Holy Joe is one of my favourites haha

    I like ''Smile'' as well..
  3. Holy Joe is gold. Love the live version. Still two singles to go after Magnificent so who knows...

One of the best? You can exaggerate....

  6. No, really
Certainly their best b-side, next to Lady With The Spinning Head
Let's say I'd put it in my top 25

Yep, I think I like both Holy Joes; Are You Gonna Wait and Big Girls are OK for me; and yes, Kite is good (but how's about One Tree Hill? The last performances in 2006 were among the best ever I think).

Isn't Are You Gonna Wait etc. the only original non-album U2 song to be found in a B-side since ATYCLB (might be wrong though)? If so, i is certainly the best B-side since then, excluding live tracks... :-)

Nope. Big Girls are Best was on the Stuck In The Moment single and that was an original U2 song that was not on any album.

  11. SINCE ATYCLB. So, yes. They also did two covers for the HTDAAB singles: Neon Lights and Ave Maria.
