1. I saw a commericial for Metallica Guitar Hero the other day, and I believe that they said there were going to be something like 23 different band versions of the game. Plus George Harrison's son is working on a Beatles Rock Band.

  2. It's cause Dan is a bit older.

I think a Beatles rock band is viable, because everyone loves the Beatles.

And if they don't It's not easy to knock them, while it's very easy to indulge in U2-bashing.

What do the Wiimotes activate in GH? the Starpower thing?

And actually the 360 starts at AUD $299 which is about a $100 bucks cheaper than the Wii.

I suppose you would fall in the Wii demographic though.

Wii motes activate star power by throwing the guitar in the air, rock-God like.

They also provide sound response to you if you hit a duff note etc.

I shall ignore that last comment.

    Oh, I thought as much.
  7. Any news on this front? Saw Metallica Guitar Hero in shops and it got me kinda excited at the prospect of a U2 one.

  8. Not really, other than the aforementioned Beatles Rock Band there's only Guitar Hero: Van Halen announced.

And Slash, commenting on the band specific GH titles hinted at there being a Guitar Hero: Hendrix.
    His quote from Rolling Stone:

Those [ie GH:Aerosmith & Metallica] are two ones that I think gives [the Guitar Hero series] some credibility. And they're doing a Hendrix one, which is great"

And so it would seem that a U2 Guitar Hero is unlikely because of the lack of 'credibility'.

But there is a LEGO Rock Band coming out so maybe its not totally impossible.
  9. hey Scott_McD if they made the game like that it would never leave my PS3
  10. bump
  11. Im confused, what is the deal with this, i'm under the impression there is no official information confirming or denying this
