1. I think it was the Elevation version Bono was on about.

OT - it will take some nailing this song. I hope his voice is up to it. No doubt Edge will sort the music bit....
  2. Any live performance hinges on Bono's vocals, they're the song's showpiece. I think he'll find it hard to pull this off night after night (having to sing NLOTH as well).

I do hope Edge is altering the music side of things, to make it more interesting.
It seems very likely that he will, seeing as the band themselves wanted to 'finish' the one take version they recorded. They were cajoled into leaving it as is on the album by Eno.

Anyway if they get it right, it definitely has the potential to be a live showcase.

No it was The Fly Vertigo. 13 years to get it right live. 1991+13=2004.
  4. No more about The Fly
  5. I wonder if Bono will play second (or first, since Edge might play keyboards) guitar while playing this song. Will he actually be heard?

I guess Adam will play the keyboard the keyboard? He plays it on COBL too

And Bono....I hope we don't hear his guitar
  7. I never believed that. I think it was a fake indeed, a prerecorded keyboard. I have no proofs though...

I'm sick of all that "Guitar hates Bono" and "Bono kills guitar everytime" stuff. He actually IS a good backing guitar player, he can play chords in the right key and rhythm... In fact, the chords of Moment Of Surrender are pretty much the same as the ones in One (Am, F, G, C, D, E, nothing else, simple as hell), which he's played for ages.
  8. And I agree Sergio (that's you name right?) Bono isn't that bad... Important backing guitar during The Fly (sorry Gerard ) and One...

    Check this:

I really hope they won't play it like this...

The idea of the arrangement is pretty good, the notes are fine (even though guitar is slightly out of tune I think)... but the girl is just plays HORRIBLE.
  10. If there's a god above, they won't play it live...they can only loose.
  11. I think exactly the same. Also about Cedars.
  12. U2 always played their best songs even better live. I have faith.
