I agree - War is probably my least favourite album and I'm fairly sure it's the one I listen to the least - I don't listen much to either Boy or War (re. the pre-TUF triumvirate, I love October), it's more a case of I take certain tracks to make a playlist and War is the one I take the least tracks from, i.e. Seconds, Like A Song and Drowning Man. The other tracks I generally prefer to listen to live.

    I would take SBS, NYD, Drowning Man and Seconds at a push. Add October (track) and the rest would be from Boy, which I actually love.


  3. I actually don't mind A Man & a Woman, ok it's a bit of a crooners song, but it has a groove.
    Still better than Crumbs at least.

  5. Several early 80's tunes are shockers. But more recently (pls don't go looking for the pitchfork ) it's a toss up between Sometimes.... and MoS.

    Original Soundtracks 1 gets way too much crap than it deserves.

    Mofo is one of the greatest songs that they have ever put out.
    I like the guitar in Some Days Are Better Than Others.
    The drums are beast! This song is awesome!

    It's a pity it gets such a bad rap because it is a fantastic piece of art.

    You really have to be into that kind of electronic, ambient, experimental stuff like Hawkwind, very early Brian Eno / Roxy Music, Harold Budd, OMD etc to really appreciate what it is all about. I always wondered why there was never an Original Soundtracks 2. From what I've heard about those sessions, they sound absolutely fascinating and given something like Music For Films, the Ambient series etc, it would be some amazing stuff.

    Some of my favorite U2 songs ever come from that album: Slug, Your Blue Room and Always Forever Now.

    If we're doing non-album tracks, I'd say America is one of the worst tracks to date and so would be Speed of Life.

    Thats your opinion and while I agree with your points on Mofo and SDABTO, I think Daddys gonna pay is terrible..
