1. i supoort LFC and PSV ,bad that our formur coach guushiddink is chelsea
    but they played better
we shall see next week ho is the best
    YNWA
  2. good game LFC lost but ,they can walk of the field whit heads up
  3. Who the fuck are Man United?
    Great semifinals

  4. a reserve team beaten on penalties isn't bad going.

Terrible first 2 penalties for United

  5. I just don't understand why Alex decides to play with reserves. Everton is a decent opponent and usually good with Cup encouters. ManUtd was still playing for the FA Cup, the league title and the Champions League with a good chance to win the treble..and now they just throw it all away.
  6. Yay... AZ=Dutch Champion.

It's safe to say that the Champions League and the league title are much bigger prizes. Lots of big big games coming up so I guess it,s wise to rest the big names. Playing a full team doesn't always guarantee a win. . . .especially when it goes to penalties

I agree on the latter part, but I still don't understand the reason of giving players rest. ManUtd played against Porto on Wednesday so they had 3 full days of rest (except training). A modern-day player should be able to handle 3 matches in a week with all these strict training schemes. Could be completely wrong though..anyway, if they had won today I would have said it was a great choice to play with reserves..lol

the resting thing isn't to do with fitness. More to do with avoiding injury

  10. Yep
I just hate (my favorite) Ajax right now, what a way to play a match Chances on 2nd spot and throwing it away like that
AZ deserved it big time, and tbh I wouldn't mind if Ajax didn't make it to the CL. At least they won't make a fool of themselves then

  11. If the manager chooses to play a team of reserves that's his perogitive. If he think's they are good enough he plays them. But I'll guarantee you one thing. If they (United) had have won yesterday, those players bar 2 wouldn't have played in the Final. We (Everton) started the season with young kids still in the Youth Team playing in the First Team and as for the bench it just resembled a Kindergarden. As for not playing players in case they get injured, not with you at all on that one.'Cos if that was the case no player would play at all would they for fear of injury ?

Champions League bigger than The FA Cup ? I think we are both showing our ages on this one. It's a typical response from the younger generation not brought up on the history and tradition of the greatest competition of all.The Champions League is a falsehood, because not every team in the competition is Champions of thier respective countries.United won it in 1999 while not being Champions of England, and the same goes for the Red Shite in 2005. The Champions League is just a cash cow for the top 4 teams in the English Premiership,so hopefully Michele Platini can get his arse into gear and just get back to the way it was to stop the English dominance, and get back to a level playing field, when it was all about what went on on the pitch, and by not how much money you had.Same goes for other European Leagues,so we can get back to the big European teams of the past being able to compete again. The likes of Anderlecht,Ajax, who have suffered because of this practice.

    Terrible 2 frst penalties for United ? Errr,excuse me,Tim Cahill's has just met Chris Waddle's in Space from Italia 90,so that was a terrible first penalty.As for Ferdinand,bollocks.Wasn't a good save then,no ? Didn't think so.Sorry,rant over.....

Anyway a good week to be a blue.Red shite got their arses kicked by Chelsea in The Champions League, and we get to the Cup Final.

Fergies a atrange manager. He gambled and it didn't pay off. Simple as that. Ronaldo and Rooney could easily have missed their penalties. Had they reached the final Fergie certaintly would have put out a stronger team but I don't think he would have put out his strongest. Strange manager. . .

The Champions League is definitely way way up the list of priorities for United, thats no secret proven by the fact that they once skipped it to head off on a tour of Asia. The FA cup has lost its shine. It's great to see the wee teams mix it with the big boys but semi-finals at Wembley? That sort of defies the point. I understand the reasons for using Wembley for the semis (miney motivated) but I think it kills a lot of what the FA cup is all about.

Cahills penalty was a shocker but Berbatovs was a shamble. Rios sat at a nice height with not enough power. The save was made when the keeper guessed to go right. United failure to capatalise on Cahills missed lost them the shootout. Thats the beauty of shootouts. Fair play Everton though. A wins a win
