1. Panic in some parts of the world because of this new virus, coming from Mexico.

How are things going in your country? Are you also worried?

And, on another matter, if this goes on the way it does now, do you think this can affect U2? In Mexico all crowded places are shut down at the moment, and if it breaks out in Spain (more than it is now) there is always a chance of a postponement. What if U2 can't play in a lot of cities all over the world?
  2. People are talking everytime, but the disease can be cured by normal influenza treatments. In Brazil health agency is monitoring people in airports .It's better Bono stay in home until this problem over
  3. I love all of these flu pandemics. Amazing how people freak out over a few hundred cases whereas malaria is killing how many people on a daily basis? The media is a shambles. But, if things do worsen and a pandemic is in effect then we could possibly see the tour disrupted.
  4. we have 2 suspect cases in the UK ( scotland ) all flights to mexico have been stopped so hopefully they can sort this out .
  5. Our Ministry of Medicine or whatever its name is claims the country has 700,000 vaccines. I definitely don't believe it

Yeah there was word here in Holland we have 4 million vaccines which may help.

Whereas, if this becomes a pandemic, one in four people become infected. So should be sufficient.
  7. here in Germany we have 3 or 4 suspected cases so far, but none of them has been confirmed as infected yet - those people got isolated in hospitals.
I think this time it is more serious than the bird flu since this virus can be "handed over" from one human being to another. Evil viruses are too clever not to mutate and find a way to avoid proper influenza treatment
I'll be honest, I'm afraid of how this will influence our summer of concerts -- Barcelona is just 8 weeks away. If they postpone or anything like that I'll freak out though it is likely to happen if this flu will spread over Europe - look what happened to that football game in Mexico, the teams played in an empty stadium. 115000 people usually. I'm worried.
  8. oh well, luckely I live in the middle of nowhere so i dont know what ur guys talking about : D
  9. Apparently nobody has died of Swine flu outside Mexico (yet) - so apparently it may be not that bad. But, as far as I know, experts are very much in the dark (still): it may be bad, it may not be; we just don't know yet. Still, experts seem to agree that it is definitely not as bad as the bird flu, which was apparently much more dangerous. I didn't think about the connection between the two things - the flu and the U2 tour. I cross my fingers. If we'll be dealing with a real pandemic next Summer, though, I guess U2 concerts may not exactly be the first of our worries (apart for those *die hard* fans... sorry, I let myself go).

  10. I live in a middle of some sodding nowhere as well and I do have an idea about what's going on. You should check out the news more often
