1. Does anybody know the final UK chart placing for Boots and latest placing for Magnificent. Do you thing the U2 oganisation are worried about the sales campaign. I always got the impression from interviews that unless U2 were massive then there was no point and whilst the UK leg of the tour seemed to sell out pretty quick generally there has been no 'buzz' since the release of NLOTH maybe because after the initial burst of publicity they quickly disappeard again to prepare for the tour

  2. I slightly agree with the rest of your post, but most people hate U2 or love U2..same goes for Magnificent.

  3. The clips are very cool . But I dont think it would be comfortable to watch a whole concert like this.

Don't know where Boots is now, it fell out off the top 40 3 weeks after the release. Magnificent jumped from 189 to 42. Apart from the first Wembley gig, the UK shows aren't sold out btw.
  5. Song used in the build up to the united game there. Sounded crap

  6. Let me quote from Larry back in 2000:

"We were very conscious of wanting to be on the radio...unless we're making music that's vital and that people can hear, we're wasting our time".

The album is a great album and is vital to me and most of their fans, but without successful singles it won't get heard by non-fans. At this rate it is quite possible that the third or fourth single won't sell enough to make the chart, which would be frankly ridiculous (as if peaks of 12 and 42 aren't ridiculous enough already).
  7. There was a topic a while back about the relevance of U2...I think that they've already become less relevant in the months that passed.

    I'm afraid so
  9. It would've done a lot better in the charts if the CD singles had been released here in the UK. Why were they pulled? Will now have to pay silly prices for them on ebay for the import versions.

Yeah, I'm really pissed off about that. And the sound quality of the remixes on iTunes sucks too.
