1. Hi,

I have had some problems playing my Slane DVD for some time: it always jams right before "All I Want Is You" starts.
My first copy did have this problem and I gave it back to the retailer who gave a new copy in stead.

At first, it looked like everything was okay with this one, but after some time even this copy had the exact same problem.
So I bought another copy and also this one has this problem: not always but most of the time.
Now, I'm about to purchase nr 4 (!!!). I watch this dvd quite frequently and it's quite annoying to stop viewing, taking the disc out to clean it, inserting it again and keep wondering if it keeps playing right after Staring At The Sun. Usually it doesn't.

I wonder if there are people in here who have the same problem with this DVD?
  2. Do you clean your DVD player regularly?

  3. Of course. And all my dvd's play just fine. Just this one doesn't: it looks like my dvd player just won't go from one chapter (Staring At The Sun) to the next (All I Want Is You) and the worst of all is that the best part (All I Want Is You going into WTSHNN) is yet to come....
But it doesn't go that far....
  4. Might be that your player is a bit picky. I also have a player in my old pc that has such issues.

  5. Hmm, could be. But to buy a new dvd player for just this dvd.....

  6. I wouldnt do that either. But you could try burning a copy and check if that works. If it does just use the copy for watching and the original for display

  7. likely to be worth it. Dvd players are well cheap nowadays. Sell all your spare Slane DVD's

I already did and that doesn't work either....

  9. Or try to rip the audio, if the same sequence doesn't work..your DVD simply crashed. But the Slane DVD dropped in price in Holland from 25 to 10 euros, so you're lucky in that case.

  10. Yes, it does. But I'd like to watch it on my TV which has a much bigger screen and better sound, so.....
I'll give it one more shot (i.e. buying one more Slane DVD) just to try and if that doesn't work either,I'll give up (that would be my 5th disc). Then I'll be "doomed" to view it on my pc only.

  11. In the meantime, I did sell all the former copies (3 of them!) and number 4 is the first one that does play normally on my dvd player. Phew!

Still looking for a decent audio though, since I don't have the means to rip the audio off the dvd...
