1. No Line on the Horizon would be a great single.
  2. Well said Alex

Do you think this will take the Pop crown as worst seller since the JT era?
  3. How much illegal downloads can influence these data? We bought the album because we are U2 fans, but of course we almost all had it already!

  4. Most likely yes. But it might prove itself as a continuous seller for years. This album needs to be discovered and listened through, and most U2 album have continuous sales for a long time.

Hopefully there might be another sales push for NLOTH when Songs of Ascent is (supposedly) released next winter. Remember that SoA is NLOTH part 2. They might even think about releasing SoA simultaneously in single CD format and as a double CD with NLOTH - now that could really bring NLOTH back into the public focus. On the other hand, they might not want to burden SoA with the heritage of the NLOTH disaster.

Downloads won't effect it too much, not to account for all of the lost sales. Lots of people are still downloading it though

I hope they don't package them together.
I expect SOA to sell much less, unless there is an amazing hit on it, maybe not even then.
  7. Have to agree with everyone who's said to put out Mercy as a single. Perhaps they have that planned, as it was notable by its absence from this year's fan club cd, which was a bit of a re-run of Unreleased and Rare.

  8. I thought it was a fantastic tune, best remix of all the ones down so far for NLOTH. and it was Dirty South who remixed it.
  9. Moment of Surrender would be a very oddball choice and make people listen up. But it has to have the intro music, cutting it down to 6: 15 like on SNL would be useless. its already long so why shorten it?
  10. Not sure if radiostations want to spend 7 minutes of airplay to U2. Maybe they could speed it up a little and shorten it a bit
