  2. Any chance for more promo-performances or Is this all?

  3. If I look at their promo-tour history (Elevation and Vertigo) then this is all
They had a couple of months inbetween the end of the promo-tour and the begin of the actual tour there too

  4. I would not miss BD at all if it wasn't played this tour...
Bring on A sort of Homecoming, BAD and Electrical Storm!
  5. ....and Dirty Day, Surrender & Last Night on Earth.
  6. Ok, enough OT chat, we have topics for setlist chat
  7. Gotta be at least a couple more promo gigs before the official tour starts one would think.

  8. Well if you look at older promo tours, NLOTH has already reached the same number of shows. But the (alleged) F1 gigs might be great promoshows if they are aired worldwide.
  9. Yeeha, another promo-date.

U2 Surprise Appearance at Island Records Party

Island Records, U2's record label for most of their career, is currently staging a week-long series of concerts at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London to celebrate the label's 50th anniversary. Tonight, 28 May, U2 made a surprise guest appearance with Senegalese artist Baaba Maal. Bono's becoming no stranger to this sort of thing at Shepherds Bush; earlier this year he made a surprise appearance with Coldplay and The Killers at a War Child concert on 19 February.

After Maal had performed his set, he returned to the stage to introduce U2's One, and as he began the song, all four members of U2 joined him on stage to play the song acoustically. After One, they launched into a short version of Bob Marley's One Love - a song Bono has performed before, back in 1994 at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with Rita and Ziggy Marley and Whoopi Goldberg. Maal then left the stage, leaving U2 to round out the set by themselves with a semi-acoustic performance of Vertigo, in which Bono thanked Island (who are no longer U2's record label). Vertigo included a snippet of the Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) song Peace Train; Yusuf Islam was sharing the bill with Maal and Bono later re-appeared on stage to introduce his set.

In proper setlist form, the set was:

    One
    One Love
    Vertigo / Peace Train (snippet)
