  1. After four consecutive trophies since 2005 at Roland Garros,
    Rafael Nadal lost for the first time ever.
    Robin Soderling beat him 6-2, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6!!

    It's amazing indeed, no one expected this upset. The King is dead.

  5. I like Federer more. It's a gentleman, doesnt wear flowerpower shirts like Nadal etc.


  6. Federer is my all-time hero. He's the most gifted tennis player ever. Nadal is great too, but I don't like his behavious sometimes (like sitting on the bench too long and then running to the other side of the court)

    Finally a tennis topic indeed. I play tennis myself, but just for the fun of it. Soderling played a brilliant match, his services and forehands were like bombs today. He well-deserved the win. Now hoping for the Fed Express to win Roland Garros. Then he will write tennis history.

    Played tennis for a long time but I got a bit bored of it. Had a pretty good level of playing if I may say so. Now I play once in a while with some friends, just for fun. Still love the game, but right now I'm more focussed on cycling. RG is my favorite Grand Slam by the way.

    Cannot choose between Wimbledon and Roland Garros. The atmosphere at The All England Tennis & Croquet Club (weird name for a tennis park) has something special as well.

    Talking about cycling, Menchov winning the Giro today was epic. Falling in the time trial, and still winning, what a moment!

  11. Cool thread, I don't really have a favourite, but I lean a bit more towards Federer I guess (although it changes every time). Too bad Nadal is out, Federer could have his revenge.
    As for favourite tournament, id say RG. It just has a special vibe for me....... (or something )

    Also don't forget Sharapova and Ivanovic

    Unfortunately Ivanovic is out. Certainly the best looking tennis player.
    And Menchov winning the Giro is great, not only for him but also great for Rabobank (Dutch team). By the way, when he fell, all the Italians were cheering along the road
