1. Yea, I know, unfortunately it means you tend to forget much of what you learnt in school though (like maths) and have to start again at uni.

So he hasn't applied for any courses yet? Here we submit our course preferences before the final exams, and find out if we got in in January.

    Yeah, that makes sense
I think he has to take core classes for the first two years, and in the third and fourth years he focuses on his major

Oh, so do you mean major as in the specialization of a degree?
Like say you can do a Business degree with either a Marketing major or Management major.

If so what degree is he doing?

    Yeah, that's what I meant.
    Again, I have no clue
    I'm useless

  5. Lol, you must be like me, I don't even know my younger sis' exact age.
Well hopefully he finds uni fun, it's very different from high school (well at least here it is).
You actually do less work than high school most of the time, until you get to the end of semester and have exams and assignments due

That's what I've heard. My folks say it's got a lot more freedom

  7. Yea, too much freedom even, it's really hard to work when theres no one telling you what you have to do. You have to have self-discipline, which I need more of.

BTW did u know that Brian Eno is in Sydney until the 14th? He's curating this art festival in the city.
I really want to go down to the harbour and see, but I have exams

That's where I think my bro is going to have issues
Ah, that sucks, I'd like to see Brian

  9. Yea, I actually posted a couple of pics of the festival in this thread
    http://www.u2start.com/topic/5763/

    It's based around light.

They're projecting his artwork "77 Million Paintings" onto the sails of the Opera House among other things.

  10. Yea, it's pretty impressive isn't it. And to think some people were complaining that Sydney only got Brian Eno while Melbourne got Tiger Woods to come down for their tourism festival.

I really want to go... I was actually planning to ask one of my maths friends to come along with me after uni, but she had a flu so I didn't think taking her to the harbour at night would be the best idea.

It's fucking sweet, that's what it is!
I wanted to go see the Decemberists in concert tonight, but my bro had graduation
