1. that pic of the vertigo setup in camp nou ....
vertigo was my first field experience in amsterdam ... I so vividly remember my first time right up front, with that huge screen .... and now it looks almost small ... in comparison with that huge claw ...
it makes a soccer pitch almost look intimate ...
i just do hope we dont mis out on visual stimuli ... with the lacking screen behind the boys ..
, then again, there is enough metal for the strobes to flash on and off ....

ha ha .... even with my eyes open I can see the claw inside camp nou ... soo high ....
    we're not coming down ....
    for a while ....

  2. there will be a screen.maybe it will probably sit over the lower part of the spire.with the spires lights somehow iluminating the screen from behind,if you know what i mean.if you look at the 360 stage design on u2.com.you see that the screen sits below the claw.so im guessing that the screen will go over the bottom half of the spire.with the spire lit underneath the screen.

im guessing the white plastic sheeting over the claw will have some kind on imagry on it too.
  3. I think and hope so Plastic is irrelevant, is not linear. You know. I wouldn't like such amount of white plastic without any image over it
  4. Sorry to cancel all of your grand plans but I don't think that there will be any videos projected onto the white plastic covering. The reason for this is that I remember reading a Willie Williams blog around the time of the lettermen performances where the band had a meeting in one of the small rooms at the Ed Sullivan Theater. Basically they sat down and decided on the colour of the plastic in 5 mins.

If they were going to project images/videos I would think that the plastic would have to be white and therefore that discussion would have been pointless....

But I guess you never know!

I don't expect images but the plastic should definitely make up part of the lighting show and project colours at least.
