  2. guys, i think Fez-Being Born is just brilliant, i love every second of it, i think it belongs to u2's top ten songs of all time.

  4. Its ridicolous how much Unknown Callers grown on me since yesterday. I love it now!!
  5. 1. Unknown Caller - amazing song with fantastic dynamics and real depth, has everything, great lyrics, vocals, guitar. It's also the most Achtung Baby-esque tune on the album.

    2. Breathe - like a rock musical being played out in your head. Excellent Edge solo and love the multi-part chorus (the way Edge and Bono harmonise on "Breathe now!" makes it possibly the best sung line on the album)

    3. White as Snow - haunting ballad, that unlike others doesn't drag on, Has nice variation too and the best lyrics on the album.

    4. Magnificent - I started off thinking this was a rather boring, one note song, but either its grown or me or i've just forced myself to like it. Definitely love the intro though.

    5. Crazy Tonight - its straight up pop, but its a nicely executed tune with great melodies

    6. No Line on the Horizon - this song is still waiting for a definitive mix, that marrys the best parts of 1 and 2, so i'll give it the benefit of the doubt and stick it here.

    7. Being Born - A bit long and could use more variation, but the vocals and wall of sound creates fantastic atmosphere.

    8. Moment of Surrender - Great vocals, but the ending drags a bit (though it never feels like a 7 1/2 minute song), needs to be more interesting on the instrumental side. With more instrumental depth (infinite guitar maybe?) it could could be amazing live, if Bono can pull of the vocal delivery..

    9. Cedars of Lebanon - interesting, reflective, atmospheric piece, however its not much of a song.

    10. Get on Your Boots - a decent song spoiled by their post-2000s hamfistedness, chorus grates and "sexy boots" is a terrible line. The overriding feeling is that a younger band (or more in touch producers) would have pulled this off with aplomb.

    11. Stand Up Comedy - another song hampered by poor execution, starts off brilliantly with a killer riff and nice groove, then becomes increasingly cringeworthy towards the end. Like Boots, a little restraint on (Bono's ?) part would have helped a great deal.
