  1. Hello all! Happy to be here. Checking in from Lincoln, NE. Found some info I was looking for after quite some time searching.

    I've seen U2 7 times (should've been 8) and met Bono after a show in Chicago in '97.

  5. Me and a few friends went to the hotel the band was staying at after the show. It was about 2-3 am when this tall, skinny looking guy comes up and asks us if we are waiting for U2 to show up and says he's their head of security. We say yeah, and figure this dude is full of crap and continue to stick around. Sure enough, about 10 minutes after the guy talked to us, a black Lincoln Towncar pulls up and out steps Bono. He was a lot shorter than I expected (about 5'5'' or 5'6''). He asked if I would take a picture with him and a couple of girls from Mexico, so I did. That's about all there is to it. There were about 20-30 people there so no one really had any time to have a decent conversation with him.
