1. but what about that remix ....
i forgot the name of that guy ... but it's so safe ....
    so not experimental .....

i wish they would commission some more groundbreaking artists as opposed to the tiesto - armin van buuren etc same sort of mash up .... if you dont look out they erase bono's voice and have some girl sing along ... but hey, I guess the mainstream needs to eat also ...
but its not my cup of tea ...

where is flood these days for some groundbreaking stuff ...??
    dance wise .

or have a guy like crystal distortion or aphex twin have a go ...
    I would love that !!!

and as soon as I will start making music with a computer, I will have a go myself !
  2. Single details from U2Tour.de, quoted from @U2:

U2tour.de has posted details of the upcoming "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" (grrr, shorter titles, please, Bono?) single. The tracklist is as follows:

    1. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Radio Edit) 3:48
    2. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Single Version) 4:13
    3. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Dirty South Club Mix) 7:10
    4. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Dirty South Radio Mix) 4:27

U2.com says the single will be released on August 17th and a video will be directed by David O'Reilly.

  3. Single version? Would be cool if its any different from the album version. Besides from that, can we now officially nominate this album as the worst single album ever? Charts, B-sides.
  4. Fuck, they are way too lazy. Where are those +60 songs they ahd prepared in the past 4 years???

  5. In the recycle bin?

They should lock the guy behind Dirty South too...

  6. Wow i would by that one immediately for all those songs
Come on a single with 4 songs which are all... I'll Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight...

Please next single Breathe with Winter as B-Side

I know, eh. 4 and a half years and they can't even give us a decent b-side, one that isnt a crappy remix, edit or live performance (NLOTH2 excepted).

If the bands going to boast that they were working on 50-60 songs over the past couple of years, they had better back it up, cause it just sounds like a load of hot air atm.

  8. What a crap selection of edits and remixes. A single like this would be better than that shit.

    1. Crazy Tonight (Radio Edit)
    2. Crazy Tonight (Hook)
    3. Crazy Tonight (A capella)
    4. Crazy Tonight (Single Version)
    5. Crazy Tonight (Instrumental)
    6. ?
  9. Guys, you just don't get it

They're saving all the B-sides for Songs of Ascent and another "Rare and Unreleased"

  10. Really? Songs of Ascent - I don't know if it's even gonna be something that materializes. Unless the songs are already recorded and mastered, all that has to happen is for them to be pressed and released physically or digitally.

Nah it was meant ironic, sort of.
I'm also disappointed with their single policy. However I can imagine it's been said before, but I think the "fact" that singles aren't as profitable anymore coz generally the singles sales went down the last couple of years is also reason for their "laziness" when it comes to song selections for singles.

I really hope they hold potential B-sides back for some good reason tho .... namely another album release, PLEASE.

What songs mentioned in articles before do we have that didn't make the album ?
    I remember
    Every Breaking Wave and
    Tripoli ...
