1. I adore the lyrics of Drowning Man, but the production/music isn't really for concerts, even in terms of "slow songs". I really can imagine that they rework it into a great gem live.
  2. I merged the intro with Magnificent and with NLOTH and is both possible

i know - i may be being a bit hasty bashing the song before i've heard what they have done with it live but as a recording it has never done anything for me. must have listened to it about 3 times in the last 15 years.... i really think it sounds more like a b side than an album track.

like i said before though, there are many MANY better songs from the last 25 years they could have pulled out of the bag..

but it's all personal opinions isn't it!
  4. Please play Hawkmoon 269!!!!!
  5. I know it's a cliché but i want to hear BTBS and NYD. I grew up with these songs
And this will be my first U2 concert. And I sure wanne hear the solo on BTBS.
  6. Can we all please stop having
War is my favourite album and the prospect of hearing Drowning Man has got me back excited about U2 again
    Genuinely can't wait

They played bullet the blue sky since 1987 ....and every tour after
and I'm glad if they let this song out
For me they also can skip NYD and Pride ...
i am glad if they put Ultraviolet and the Unforgettable fire in it .
and i think Drowning man is a good choice

  8. I won't, I'll die a happy person.

but I agree with people saying there are better songs to play than Drowning Man, and that these are only soundcheck rehearsals so we shouldn't read too much into what gets played.
  9. Please folks, we have topics for favourite setlists and stuff. Stick to the rehearsals..and when there's no news about it or nothing to discuss, use other threads. It's nice to keep things tidy and all.
  10. oke !
  11. It´s kinda weird....I have listened to a lot of War and TUF lately...don´t know why, maybe because both albums make me think of Ireland more than the others, and I´ll be there in 30 days...but I never thought they would play TUF, the song, again, let alone to premiere Drowning Man 26 years later!
