    During the popmart tour i was very early in Rotterdam for the second show ....
    So around about 15.00 the rehearsel started i remember Edge was constantly rehearsing the riff off Discotheque and the played the piano part of NYD over and over again ...
    they played the whole version of WTSHNN and HMTMKMKM ...
  8. Has anyone actually ever stood outside a stadium during an actual concert or know of someone who has? I'd be curious to know what you could hear

    Probably just the bassline and the drums. Some vague guitar rhythm maybe...and Bono will not be clear...you might hear him, but not what he sings

    yes my sister did in 1987 during the joshua tree tour ....
    she try to get tickets on the black market but they where to expensive for her .
    so she stayed two nights to hear them outside the stadium ( Feyenoord rotterdam)
    that was before they re-build it so you could hear them better ....
    we lived in Rotterdam and when the wind was blowing to our direction you
    just had to open the window and you could hear the music ...just what mark said
    only bass and drums and sometimes a guitar riff but you could hear the singing not so clear .
    but by the melody you could recodnice the song

    It depends on the stadium obviously. Outside Ullevi, in Gothenburg, you can hear pretty well because of the wavy shape.
