1. God you guys are whining!!
U2 asks you to do one thing.
How hard is it to print out a mask and when you hear the first notes of Walk On you put it on.
Wether you like it or not you can expect this kind of stuff when you go to a U2 concert.
The least you can do is print it out and wear it, show some damn respect

I paid my 2 hundred quid sir. There's my respect
  4. No, didn't come from that website.
I like what U2 does, especially Bono. He made a real difference in this world.
They ask us to make a difference with them, I for one will not say no to that.

Asking people to sign up for One, which forces action is a good thing. I proudly did it. Asking your fans to wear a mask at your concert is pointless and over the top. One of the reasons I normally applaud Bono for his activism, and yes even those concert speeches, is because they lead to something meaningful. What does getting people to play dressup at your concert do other than stroke an already large ego?

there really is no point trying to talk to someone like that - there is no reasoning with these type of fans.. to them Bono & U2 simply CANNOT be criticised in any way...

i think bono does a lot of good stuff and i like at least 70% of the new album but i'm still going to speak my mind if i don't agree with something or hate some new U2 songs!

    lol, exactly
  9. Off course you can critise U2
There are definitely things I don't like about them. Nobody's perfect, not Bono, not Edge, not Adam and not Larry.
This stunt will give it publicity.
Bono will always do something political at every show, it's who he is.
I don't always like, sometimes I think he should just shut up and sing.
But I truly believe that this is a good way to make the world look, to make the world take action.

  10. not a chance mate.

W should all make paper airplanes with the masks and play with those until Bono fucks up

the world knows all about this issue already!! it's been all over the national news for gods sake!!

U2 asking people to wear masks at their gigs isn't going to change anything! it's just embarassing to be asked to wear those things and hopefully if the reaction on here is anything to go by, most people will also think it's a stupid idea!

paper aeroplanes sounds like MUUCH more fun!
