1. That's a good list of songs for the official warm-up.
However, without having listened to the set I can't see it flowing all the way through.
It starts with Breathe as an opener....it's got a fairly ubrupt start with not much lead in time.
Vertigo after COBL - can't see it working
    Sunday after Crazy?

Also that screen is a sight to behold but I hope it actually shows a video of the band in parts.

Happy for someone to correct me who was there.

Also, no Wild Horses - I'm still holding out hope for the tour but TUF and UV do a good job of making it up for it. Strap yourselves in boys. We're in for an awesome six months.
  2. Vertigo worked after COBL for over 100 shows during the last tour but it would have been nice to see something new. Same with One leading into Streets.

Still, there could be some suprises in store as it looks like they went a bit "safe" for the dress rehearsal.

I'd swap Breathe and Horizon but it'll be interesting to see how Breathe leads in, possible a longer recording of the drums like on the CD.

Give Angel of Harlem a rest please - stick in anything else (preferably anything we haven't remotely heard every show for the past 10 years (OK sorry, they didn't do it during popmart or a handful of Elevation shows).

Beautiful Day out - replace with Electrical Storm cause who knows, it might actually work. If not, play something from Zooropa.

SBS out - replace with Please like everyone wants.

Anyway, It'll all make sense by the third or 4th shows when some newies start appearing. It's probably logical to thing that some songs will rotate (Angel of harlem, Mysterious Ways, In A Little While will for the stripped down set)

Time will tell...but we'll still get UTEOTW and New Years Day by the time they hit Australia whenever they hit Australia.

  3. Freaking vid from the Claw...lovely

  4. But so far down the set in the middle of other songs this time. Encore would have been alright.

COBL - Vertigo works perfectly indeed.

Breathe will be an hell of an intro (btw...I believe I already came up with that months ago woohoo )

AOH...never liked, not even on the ZooTV dvd. Throw it away and never bring it back please

Beautiful Day is pure class, I go to the stadium just for that I'm even thinking of just watching BD and leave after that hahaha

I agree with Please for SBS, altough I have no problems with them playing SBS. I rather see Please instead of IGWSHA (which was also rehearsed)

And UTEOTW is a must with this stage. As is The Fly.
And not to forget Dirty Day...if they bring that back, wow
  6. I'm happy with SBS. I hope they won't change the setlist that much for the Amsterdam gig... maybe only play The Fly instead of Vertigo or so
  7. only one encore?
  8. just read this on u2start's twitter account

First nearly 3000 people will be let inside the ellipse. First 400 may run first with 10 min advantage.

sounds good/well organized though I wonder whether they can manage that on every concert, with the numbers etc
  9. U2 is just rehearsing Vertigo.23 minutes ago from Tweetie
  10. Moment of Surrender sounds great live from that rehearsal, much richer in sound, even though Edge didn't extend the solo.

Anyone know what's the percussion instrument being played throughout it? Handclaps?

And what's with Crazy Tonight? Does that dancy intro play throughout the song, with Bono changing his singing rhythm to match, or is it just an intro?
