I've got a question for any of those who were at the opening gig last night (Prefeberally Ger as he said he was at the periphial of the eclipse and not actually within it) , my question (Okay questions!!) are, what time do you think you would have to start Q'ing to get into the eclipse?, Are there wrisbands provided to those who do make it into the eclipse? Ger you said you were just outside the eclipse, does that mean that you have to stand your ground all day without losing your place. I am going to the 3 Croke park gigs and the 3rd night is a general admin ticket so I'm thinkin of startin' to Q at about 2am (I figure the gates will open about 12 midday - would that be correctish? I saw them in Slane, Ireland in 2001 and we got there at about 5am and started Q'ing and got into the heart area and it just makes such a big difference. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated - Thanks and roll on Croke park!

Hi there. I was at the tip of the elipse. Best GA spot in the house. The queuing this will differ with each show as well as the organisation of the queue. Yesterday was a mess in the queuing department and we did seem a long way back. They let a steady trickle in to fill up the inner circle (mostly with people who had their place in line written on their arm) then opened the gates to the rest. We got in and found the pitch surprisingly still empty so took up our place at the tip of the elipse. The inner circle folks did appear to be able to come and go but as for me and the rest on the pitch it was a case of hold your spot (quite tedious for 3 hours in 30 degree heat). So if coming and going is your thing then try for inner circle.

Your gate opening time for Croke migt be a little off. I'd guess anywhere from 2-3 hours before the first support act would be about right. Last night the gates opened straight after U2 finished their final rehearsal but once inside we stil had a 3 hour wait to contend with before Snow Patrol even came on. . . .

With GA it's always gonna be a case of best bet is get their early. You also need to have good queue organisation on your (which we didnt). My personal opinion on Croke 3 would be to start queing early that morning (7-9) and i'd be certain you would get into the inner circle. Croke Park also has a much bigger GA area than the Nou Camp. After getting the position I was in last night, dont worry yourself too much about the inner circle. There's lots and lot of elipse action so anywheres dude. Good luck
  4. I still can't get over how awseome Ultraviolet is, wish I was there! They so need to do more Zoo/Pop stuff with that LED suit and wheel microphone!!!!
  5. I'm back home.

I will write a full review tomorrow, now I can barely write this words.

Excellent three days spent in Barcelona.

I was so absolutely nice to meet Remy and Gerard, such great guys you are

The show was fantastic, it had the feeling of an oppening night for sure, and some of the performances weren't 10/10, but the communion band-audience was absolute, even being the first show and 100'000 people out there. Awesome. The absolute hihglights were Streets and Ultraviolet, with a great mention for Angel Of Harlem (a song I use to dislike on the bootlegs... was absolutely brilliant).

I got some beautiful pictures, and some videos. Tomorrow they'll be available

  6. Good to hear you had the time of your life Sergio
  7. think i'll persuade myself to go to the second gig. Should be able to do more video and perhaps something during Walk On. . ..

I read them and I couldn't agree more...by the way did people actually wear that silly thing during Walk On?

  11. Those that had them just held them up instead of wearing them. I opted to plan my route home. .
