1. They changed everything I disliked about the original Crazy Tonight and kept everything I loved about it and behold, now it is awesomeness... Thanks, U2!

Ps. Moment of Surrender as closer... bliss.

  2. Couldn't agree more! The masks make me cringe during one of my favorite songs (Walk On) and they should drop all talk-overs during the intro of Streets - the best EVER was the Zoo TV "Running To Stand"/"Streets" transition...because it was JUST THE MUSIC!

So beautiful...so much better than hearing Bono or some taped voice talking as the beautiful intro unfolds...just leave it be!

What's the point in going out of arenas and into stadiums unless you are going to drop some jaws?

Top 5 requests to be added:
    1. ZOOROPA (full version...would make a great encore)
    2. MOFO
    3. LEMON
    4. DADDY'S GUNNA PAY
    5. GONE

After watching the show, I say here's the 5 songs to take out to make room for this:
    1. Pride
    2. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    3. With Or Without You
    4. Vertigo
    5. One

now SOMEBODY pass this along to the band!

    you are 100% right

  4. Does anyone know if there were any further rehearsals in the stadium on July 01st?
  5. The rehearsal MoS sounded better than the final performance. And why did Bono leave out the end of in a little while? That's the best part of the song!

The crazy tonight remix is weird as well, and I don't like how after the solo of unknown caller they start singing the chorus again.

Bono just liked the crowd singing so kept bringing the chorus back in
  7. Now that I've listened to the first recordings, MoS sounds a little better than I thought during the gig. Still a bad closer, though. Vertigo works surprisingly good, seems to be a favourite in Spain. I still think that the opening misses some punch and that the "Crazy" remix is one of the most embarrassing U2 moments ever.
Next ones Paris or A'dam... Still undecided.

  8. Oh I see, it does dilute the song a bit though, it's not Crazy Tonight.

And I really wish he would stop forgetting lyrics ... to new songs!

Agreed on Vertigo. Really enjoyed that one. The place just took off. How good were Snow Patrol though? Massively impressed

finally someone agrees! Crazy sounds awful! It sounds like they are blatantly trying to appeal to the younger ones. It sounds downright pathetic and you put it perfectly by calling it embarrassing.
  11. I actually quite like Sunday Bloody Sunday. It's a U2 epic and I really want to hear it on my first U2 gig.

Downsides of the first gig imo:

    Solo Unknown Caller
One (just drop the song and replace it for a song like The Fly, Even Better, Hold Me Thrill Me, Mofo)
    With Or Without You

Moment Of Surrender wasn't that bad at all but the rehearsed one was way better.
Crazy remix is way better than converting the album version in a live setting.
    Keep Ultra Violet, sounded awesome.

So overall not a bad first gig, but there is some work to do and I'm convinced that tonight will be a lot better.
  12. worst moments
    solo unknown caller
crazy (i totally dislike the remix, i think the album version could be a highlight.
    one
and overall i think bono´s voice is OK and he could sing much more if he want, especially in the oldest songs.
