Major spoiler alert, and we're gonna put it on the home page anyway because there's a chance the audio from this video might be removed soon. It's the official EPK (Electronic Press Kit) with live footage from last night's tour opener, and even though this is band-approved and authorized, YouTube & Universal may not like the inclusion of what sounds like an unreleased U2 song at the beginning and end. Needless to say, if you're trying to avoid spoilers, don't click the PLAY button. The rest of you, enjoy some amazing, pro-shot footage from Barcelona.

  4. 4 songs being rehearsed, and now MOS

What I really want to know and what very few are saying, bar Ger's comments on the screen during COBL and TUF, is how is the show? Is it - wow! - or just ok? Back to the impact and hunger of ZooTV or Pop or a slightly more inventive Vertigo?

Will it make this the best tour of the year, or will the likes of Coldplay, Take That or Oasis top it? (Or Muse at the end of the year). It may be too early to say and I guess how much setlist variation there is tonight (plus hopeful tightening of some of those performance glitches) will have an impact.

Oh yeah. I blew staying in the dark btw.....

As a spectacle it really is something to behold. The band are really trying to get the 'future needs a big kiss' theme going but they havent got it yet. The space station thing was nice but too scripted and too long and apart from that I couldn't pick up on the 'theme' they were trying to get. The only way you can take it all in is from a seat, preferably head on. I had my breath taken away for the first time as I left the stadium. The sheer scale became apparent, a scale that could not be detected from standding underneath the bugger.

    As a 'show' it needs work but as a 'spectacle' it's stunning. . . . . . Especially that screen.. .. .
  6. ^ hahaha!

  7. Yeah I kinda figured, but honestly since 2001?! because I thought the B-man reduced his smoking since then.

What's the point in going out of arenas and into stadiums unless you are going to drop some jaws?

Top 5 requests to be added:
    1. ZOOROPA (full version...would make a great encore)
    2. MOFO
    3. LEMON
    4. DADDY'S GUNNA PAY
    5. GONE

After watching the show, I say here's the 5 songs to take out to make room for this:
    1. Pride
    2. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    3. With Or Without You
    4. Vertigo
    5. One

now SOMEBODY pass this along to the band!

I'm sorry, but a full Zooropa (while I simply adore the album version) would not work live. A scaled down version, however, would. No Mofo or Gone for me please!

Good luck getting rid of Pride, Vertigo and One. And the other two while you're at it. ^^

I agree as well. That Crazy was an epic failure. The Letterman version is pretty much perfect.

The same thing also happened in other songs. His falsetto is getting shockingly weak for songs that he never had problems with before. He can still do it, but it sounds like it's a lot of effort to get going, and even then, it's not fully complete. Don't get me wrong, Bono's singing in general was great, but I just think his falsetto has been sounding worser than during the Vertigo tour and Elevation tour.

I'm not sure about his voice/falsetto, but he could've been much more bold when it comes to TUF.
