1. I'm positive this has been discussed in the other general Barcelona threads, BUT...i can't look at those because of SPOILERS so please excuse this extra thread.

I'm attending the fist Milan show and am just wanting to hear feedback from anyone who queued at the first 2 shows. I haven't been able to read up on anything since i'm trying to stay clean.

My plan is to get to the stadium around Noon, based on how it went in Barcelona would that time frame get me in the inner circle? or just outside of it?

What time do you get there and what spot did you get in GA?

Any feedback would be great. THX!!!
  2. I know Sergio and Gerard spent some considerable amount of time in the Barca lines. Check with them, they'll be glad to help. Have fun in Milan; let us know how it goes!
  3. I queued in BCN since 17:30 PM on the day before the show (exactly 24 hours before the gates were opened), and I got number 294, I got to be 3 meters away from The Edge and Bono, just 3rd row int othe inner circle.
People had started queueing on sunday's night (yes, some people sleeped outside the Camp Nou for 2 nights), crazy but true.
People who joined the queue around 12:00 AM on the morning on the show, were left out the inner circle for sure. Gerard (germcevoy) arrived about 10 or 11 AM and he got out of the inner circle, but stood just outside it, on the fence of the exterior catwalk, probably in the best spot of the whole stadium

For today's show, the queue has been much smaller. But this is the second show, it's not soldout and the people is taking it easier

Mos timportant: you have to choose between this two options for the concert:

    - Being as closer as you can to the band, picking up a great spot into the inner circle and being very close to all member, but missing all the screen&lights spectacle or;
    - Being in a normal spot on the GA, half of the stadium or so, where you can't be very close to the band (you won't be far either, The Claw is so big that there aren't any big distances anymore), but where you can watch the visual spectacle and enjoy all the Claw's magnificent size and effects

If you choose the second option, going to the queue at 12:00 AM is really great. If you choose the first one.... You'd better get your sleeping bad and a buch of bottles of water
  4. Do you think that's how they will do it for all GA's- first come first serve for the inner circle? Because for Vertigo (in Chicago at least) they did some sort of raffle- if your ticket scanned sayign VERTIGO! VERTIGO! VERTIGO! you were one of the lucky few who were able to be closer.
  5. I started queueing at about 12.45 pm and by that time it snaked around for quite a way. I noticed that most people had numbers wrote on there arms for entrance into the inner circle. (They must have been there a while) We made sure we had plenty of water as it was really really hot and I mean really hot. The gates opened at 5.30 pm and it took us about 15 minutes to get in from where we where in the queue. We found ourselves a spot outside the circle and were happy with our position until we realised other people were trying to get in the inner circle. We made our way over and found that we could get inside the circle and found a postion facing the side of the stage. We were at the back of the inner circle which was brilliant because we found ourselves about 3 meters from the outer circle where the band would walk. We were able to leave the inner circle and get our arms stamped so we could re-enter. It was a perfect position and we weren't to crushed. All in all it worked out well, but queueing in that heat was punishment on the body, so we topped ourselves up with plenty of beer inside the stadium. (6 euros a beer)

Definitely recommend the inner circle. Although you don't see the full effect of the screen and the lights it was absolutely amazing.

    Hope this helps

Well, if someone is attending JUST one show, I would NOT recommend the inner circle. Missing a very important part of the show (lights and screen) is NOT worth being in the inner circle at all. If you're attending two or more shows, I'd gladly recommend the Inner Experience. Being 2 meters away from your idols is A-W-E-S-O-M-E, trust me.

PS. I was one of the "organisation" guys who were giving the numbers and the wrsitbands (the ones that granted access to the inner circle ), and I can tell you that about 112:00 AM the queue was at least 1900-2100 people long, and since the inner circle holds about 2500-2700 people, queing later than 12AM is a dangerous if you wanna enter the ring

    There was no lottery

For the moment, the official GA procedure is First Come First Served, but it might change throughout the tour.
  8. I know macstripey was there around 9-10am and got number 92 lol. gotta be lucky, too, I guess.
  9. thx for all the feedback!

We are attending first Milan show, and then first Paris show

So...we're shooting for close up in Milan and then will settle for mid-field to catch the full experience of lights and video in Paris

Well done, you'll enjoy both shows tremendously, I'm sure
  11. That's impossible. I myself was giving numbers and wristbands (I have some of the official lists of the people in the queue) and that's impossible. Remy arrived at 7 AM and I myself gave him the number 832.........
